Archival Collections - The EVIA Digital Archive Project

Archival Collections

home about us the archive

Collections in the EVIA Digital Archive Project are the result of painstaking work by scholars and cultural experts who labored both in the creation of the original video recordings and in annotating their video collections. Collections also are the result of constraints put in place during the Project's development. These constraints include a limit of approximately ten hours of video in each collection. Collections presently in the EVIA Project thus typically do not include the entire corpus of video recordings made by scholars during their field research. Rather, scholars have selected a set of recordings that either represent an overview of their research or are focused on a particular aspect of their research. They also may have chosen recordings based on suitability for instruction or for use in connection with a publication.
